Very special baby crib for that new arrival. Crib was purchased in 1974 for our only child. Please note that this crib meets all current safety standards. It was a reproduction of an antique crib but designed with safety standard specifications. It was used for about 2 years until she moved into a toddler bed and then was put into it s original box until the grandchildren were born. Unfortunately our grandchildren live across the country, so the bed has only been used a half dozen times since it came out of the box again. It is a reproduction of an antique baby crib and cost $3,000 in 1974. I haven t been able to find anything on the internet to compare to this wonderful baby bed! There are only a few brass beds that I have found and they don t have the unique design and charm of this crib! The bed will be shipped in it s original box and also has parts to convert the bed to a toddler bed or a day bed that have never been used and are brand new. The brass is in excellent shape with the exceptions of one or two spots that you have to look for where you can see minor evidence of out daughter. There is one small dark spot that I am sure can be polished and revarnished. The bed has a protective coating and does not need to be polished. It s just as shiny and bright today as it was 30 years ago. We hope this bed goes into a very special nursery where it will get alot of use....
